Garnets, Emeralds, Jasper, Agates, Quartz, are some of those that I can spell. Native silver and gold are represented beautifully here. There are so many that I have never heard of or seen and since the rocks have been cracked open you can see the beauty inside. It has an index, a glossary, a very readable explanation of each mineral, and the TOC is excellent. Care was taken in the production of this book. It will . G. Nash said Great class aide. I bought this book for my college age granddaughter because she has always been interested in and collected rocks. She is now in a college level Geology class and the book has helped her with the class tremendously. It is an excellent book.
