"Excellent Book for Birthparents" according to Melody Corey. This book is very well done. It is written by two birthmothers who really understand the grief process that is involved in placing a child for adoption. They explain how there is tremendous grief and need for healing even if you feel good about the adoption.. Full of lies This book perpetuates the myth that adoption is beautiful and loving. It says nothing about the fact that most infant adoption in the U.S. is completely unnecessary. It ignores that fact that nothing has changed since the 1950s. Women are simply more subtly coerced into relinquishing their infants to the highest bidder.
